Netrepid To Award Over $5K In Virtual Servers And More To Winners At Startup Weekend Lancaster

Netrepid announced today that it will be providing over $5,000 in virtual private server hosting services to three Lancaster-area entrepreneurial teams as part of the 2nd annual Startup Weekend Lancaster, scheduled to be held February 21-23 at the Lancaster Chamber Of Commerce & Industry.

The three winning teams will each be awarded the same prize package, with different subscription lengths based on the order of finish. Specifications for the virtual private servers include:

• Windows Server 2008R2 or 2012 (winners will be automatically upgraded to 2012 if available)
• 4Gb of RAM
• Single Processor
• 200Gb of Storage

The winning startup team will receive subscription to Netrepid's virtual private server hosting services for a period of 12 months following the setup of their account. The second place and third place teams will receive subscriptions for 6 months and 3 months once they setup accounts with Netrepid, respectively.

Coyl will be one of five Central PA-based entrepreneurs who will serve as coaches during the Startup Weekend event, where aspiring entrepreneurs get hands-on experience building the various areas of a new venture to determine if their startups are viable. In addition to offering a prize to the top startups from the weekend, Netrepid will also serve as an event sponsor.

"Sam did an awesome job of getting teams to focus on what was important during Startup Weekend Harrisburg last year, and we look forward to having him coach again at Startup Weekend Lancaster, as well," said Ben Donahower, one of the organizer's of this year's Startup Weekend Lancaster.

In addition to the donation of the virtual servers, Netrepid will also be offering the top two finishers the opportunity to present their startups before a Board of Advisors for admission into the Netrepid Virtual Incubator's March 2014 program. If either of those startups are then accepted into the Incubator, they would also receive:

• Up to $500 per month in hosted technology services from Netrepid for a period of 12 months
• Business consulting from the Board of Advisors for a period of 12 months
• Branding and design consulting from Phalanx Digital
